iMock (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect when you use our platform at imock.ai, how we use it, and the choices you have regarding your information.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

When you register, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored as a bcrypt hash). If you sign in via OAuth (Google, LinkedIn), we receive your public profile data from those providers.

2.2 Profile & Resume Data

You may upload PDF resumes and provide details about your target role, experience level, and interview goals. This data is used to personalise question generation and is stored securely on our servers.

2.3 Interview Session Data

Audio, video, and text responses captured during mock interview sessions are used to evaluate your performance and generate feedback. Video is processed in real-time and is not stored beyond the session unless you explicitly enable session recording.

2.4 Usage & Analytics

We collect anonymised usage data (pages visited, features used, session durations) to improve the product. We use privacy-respecting analytics tools that do not share your data with third parties.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and improve the iMock platform
• To personalise your interview questions and feedback
• To send transactional emails (account verification, password reset)
• To process payments via Razorpay (we do not store card details)
• To comply with legal obligations

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with:

• Service providers — cloud infrastructure (Microsoft Azure), payment processing (Razorpay), and email delivery — bound by data processing agreements
• Legal authorities — only when required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of iMock or its users

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Session recordings (if enabled) are retained for 90 days. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time via Settings → Account → Delete Account.

6. Security

We use industry-standard security practices including TLS encryption in transit, bcrypt password hashing, JWT-based authentication, and role-based access controls. Despite these measures, no internet transmission is 100% secure.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, email privacy@imock.ai.
